Aberdeen City Council

aberdeencouncillogoOur role in the Project

Aberdeen City Council is interested in the DANS Model and the implementation of the Digital Agenda for Europe and wish to try it in practice in our own city. Our role in the Project is to learn from the partners that already used the model and also to disseminate information about the model, how to use it and why it is a good tool. We will raise awareness of the model in Scotland and the United Kingdom, and with partner organisations, and we will look for opportunities to use the model when developing new services.

Aberdeen City Council

Aberdeen is the third largest city in Scotland with a population of around 210,000. Aberdeen City Council is one of the largest employers in the area with around 8,000 employees. We’re responsible for providing all local government services in the city and so we offer a diverse range of career and employment opportunities at locations throughout the city.

Our Vision is for Aberdeen to be an ambitious, achieving, smart city. We will ensure all citizens are encouraged and supported appropriately to make their full contribution.
